In 2015, the Bombay High Court had acquitted Superstar Salman Khan of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case.
Talking about the case – Salman’s white Toyota Land Cruiser had rammed into a pavement near Bandra bakery, killing one person and injuring four.
Salman has now moved the Mumbai Civil Court against a game called ‘Selmon Bhoi’, which is allegedly based on his hit-and-run case.
The Radhe actor is popularly called ‘Salman Bhai’ by the fans – which the game creators ‘Parody Studios’ tweaked to ‘Selmon Bhoi’. They have also reportedly used the caricature version of Salman in the game.
“Selmon Bhoi is on a quest to finish entire life on earth by smashing the hell out of every single BOO-slims life.” – reads the app’s description.
As per TOI report, Mumbai civil court has ordered the makers to immediately take down/ restrict access to the game from Google Play and all other platforms. It further observed that the actor’s right to privacy was being violated and his reputation was being tarnished as he had never given authorization for the development of such a game.
“When the plaintiff has not given his consent for developing of the game, which is very similar to his identity and the case against him, certainly his right to privacy is being deprived and his image is also being tarnished,” the order said.
The matter is posted for further hearing on September 20.
