She’s reigning as a superstar in Bollywood, but Deepika Padukone is ready to make strides in Hollywood as well.
After XXX: Return of Xander Cage, the glam diva has bagged a 2nd Hollywood project!
Deepika will also be co-producing this romantic comedy along with STX Films and Temple Hill. The film is said to be a cross-cultural love story set against New York and India.
The yet-to-be titled project will commence shooting next year. Looks like no expense is being spared to see this grand spectacle be unveiled.
If this latest Pinkvilla report is to be believed then the budget of this Hollywood film is going to be $75 million allegedly! Which when converted to INR – amounts to nearly 550 crores!
A source told the portal – “The team wants to make a visually appealing cross-cultural romantic comedy and are planning to shoot at virgin locations in parts of New York and India. Padukone aside, they are in conversations with some top actors from the West to come on board the project. The rest of cast, director and shooting timelines will be revealed in the months to follow, however, the studio has estimated the budget of this cross-cultural tale to be in the range of $75 million.”
Back home, Deepika’s movie line-up includes Shakun Batra’s next, Pathan with SRK, The Intern remake with Amitabh Bachchan, and Fighter co-starring Hrithik Roshan. She’ll also be seen with Prabhas in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi film.
