It was earlier reported that Abhishek Bachchan was set to reunite with his ‘Dostana’ co-star John Abraham for his upcoming movie.
Well, looks like, fans will now have to wait a little longer to see their much-awaited onscreen reunion.
Back in February, we heard that Abhishek & John were going to play the lead roles in the Hindi remake of the 2020 Malayalam action-thriller film- ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’.
John had reportedly bought the rights of the said film and stated that he would start working on the project once the pandemic gets better.
However, according to the latest buzz, Abhishek has apparently walked out of the project. While the movie was scheduled to go on floors in November this year, the actor has allegedly stated his reservations to come on board a couple of days back and took an exit from the film.
“The prep-work had begun and director Jagan Shakti was all geared up to take it on floors in the month of November. However, just a couple of weeks back, Abhishek Bachchan conveyed to John and the entire team about his reservations of coming on board the film,” a source revealed to the portal.
“Abhishek is no longer a part of this film. He was also supremely excited for the reunion with John, but some things are just not meant to happen, till they actually happen. He hopes to team up with John on another project soon,” the source added.
Meanwhile, the makers of the ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ Hindi remake are currently looking for Abhishek’s replacement.
