Along with being a phenomenal dancer, Nora Fatehi is gradually making strides as an actor in Bollywood too.
She was last seen in Bhuj: The Pride of India as the spy Heena Rehman.
Nora literally put her blood, sweat and tears into the role – shooting all her action scenes WITHOUT any stunt double. In the process, she ended up getting quite battered, but she proudly wore her scars!
She got badly injured twice while shooting Bhuj – once on her forehead and secondly she hurt her arm as well. Instead of adding prosthetics, the makers decided to go ahead using her real wound in the scene!
Elaborating on the unfortunate incident, Nora told the media – “We were shooting for an action sequence and the director wanted to shoot the scene in a single take with one camera, hence my co-actor and I rehearsed the action choreography wherein he holds a gun to my face and I flick the gun out of his hands to start beating him up.”
She further added that though the rehearsal went smoothly, the coordination in the actual take was messed up, resulting in a blow to her face – “The actor accidentally threw the gun to my face and the heavy end hit my forehead causing an injury and blood gushing out.”
Later on that same day, she suffered another injury while shooting for a fast-paced, chase sequence!
“During the shoot, I fell, injuring my fingers really bad, because of which I had to wear a sling throughout the shoot. In all, it was a physically tough sequence, wherein I got hurt a lot as I executed all my scenes myself without any stunt double, but I wear my scars with pride as it offered me an outstanding learning experience that I’d cherish for a lifetime,” the Dilbar gal concluded.
Talking about Bhuj movie – it is set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan War of 1971. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Sharad Kelkar. It is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
As per the latest buzz, Nora has bagged lead role opposite Vikrant Massey in the thriller drama film Blackout.
