Deepika Padukone & Sanjay Leela Bhansali make a magical actress-director jodi, isn’t it?
Earlier, rumours went rife that the duo might reunite for his upcoming movie- ‘Baiju Bawra’.
However, according to reports, Deepika is no longer a part of the project but her husband Ranveer Singh is. It was recently reported that DP has allegedly been dropped from the movie for demanding the same remuneration as Ranveer for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.
And now, if this media report is to be believed, DP had supposedly demanded approximately Rs 20 – 25 CRORES to play the female lead. Yes, you heard this right!
An insider informed the portal- “Deepika had quoted approximately Rs. 20-25 cr. for the venture. However, given the budget and scale of the film, it was highly unlikely that she would get remuneration in that range. This was one of the reasons she decided to opt-out of the venture.”
Did you guys know Deepika was paid more than her male co-stars- Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor- for ‘Padmavat’? Well, Deepika reportedly took home Rs 10 crores, whereas Ranveer & Shahid got around Rs 10 crores.
