Vicky Kaushal is set to reunite with his ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ director Aditya Dhar for ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’.
Touted to be a futuristic sci-fi superhero flick, the film reportedly stars Sara Ali Khan as the female lead.
From archery, sword-fighting to spear-fighting and martial arts- Vicky was undergoing intensive training for his role in this action-based superhero film.
Recently, reports started doing rounds claiming that Vicky-Sara’s ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ has reportedly been shelved due to budget issues.
However, the reports turn out to be FALSE. As per the media, the ambitious project has NOT been shelved but delayed by a few months.
The report further suggests that given the current pandemic situation and its impact on theatres, the team is said to be re-analyzing the budget, including the VFX cost. Both Vicky & Sara have reportedly stopped prepping for their respective roles and will resume once everything is confirmed.
The source informed the portal- “Looking at the ongoing situation because of the pandemic and its impact on the theatres and the industry, the makers felt the need to re-analyze the budget of the film, including the portion dedicated to the VFX for the movie. So, they are reworking on that now, and need some time for that. The Immortal Ashwatthama is a dream project for the makers, and they want to make it the right way.”
Reportedly, Suniel Shetty & Jaideep Ahlawat are also in talks for playing pivotal roles. There are no confirmations yet.
