Popular South-Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia made her Bollywood debut in Sajid Khan’s movie ‘Himmatwala’ in 2013.
Besides the super-hit ‘Bahubali’ franchise, she also appeared in Hindi films like- ‘Humshakals’ & ‘Entertainment’.
Now, according to a media report, Tamannaah is supposedly all set to play the female lead, opposite Aashim Gulati, in an Amazon Prime Video series, titled ‘Yaari Dosti’.
Directed by Arunima Sharma, ‘Yaari Dosti’ is said to be a slice-of-life series that revolves around friendship. Dinesh Vijan is said to be producing the show.
“Yaari Dosti marks the webspace directorial debut of Arunima Sharma. She has previously worked as an associate director for Dinesh Vijan productions like Cocktail, Finding Fanny, and Angrezi Medium. As suggested by the title, the series is centered around the theme of friendship,” a source revealed to the portal.
Aashim has previously worked in films like ‘Tum Bin 2’, ‘Tuesdays & Fridays’. He was also seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series ‘Hostages’.
Scheduled for a 2022 release, ‘Yaari Dosti’ is expected to go on floors in September 2021.
