3 Films Of Birthday Girl Taapsee Pannu That Are REMAKES Of Spanish Films!

Apart from celebrating her success after Haseen Dillruba’s release, Taapsee Pannu is also celebrating her 34th birthday today!

1. Blurr

Taapsee will soon be co-producing a thriller under her production house ‘Outsiders Films’. Her production debut has been titled ‘Blurr’ which will be directed by Ajay Bahl of Section 375 fame. The film is believed to be the Hindi remake of the Spanish horror thriller– ‘Julia’s Eyes’.

As for Julia’s eyes, the story goes – Julia Levin is haunted by the death of her sister Sara. The official verdict was suicide, but Julia is convinced that something more sinister was to blame.

2. Do Baaraa

Taapsee is reuniting with her ‘Manmarziyaan’ director Anurag Kashyap for the sci-fi thriller ‘Do Baaraa’. Do Baaraa is said to be the Hindi adaptation of the Spanish mystery drama ‘Mirage’. Taapsee’s Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati has been locked as the male lead.

Mirage is a film on a space-time continuum glitch that allows the main character, Vera, to save a boy’s life 25 years in the past, but somehow results in the loss of her daughter and Vera must fight to get her back.

3. Badla

Taapsee Pannu‘s ‘Badla‘, produced by Shahrukh Khan‘s Red Chillies Entertainment was a super hit at the box office. Taapsee was playing the lead role in the movie alongside Amitabh Bachchan.

However, Badla too is the remake of a Spanish movie titled ‘The Invisible Guest’.

The Invisible Guest tells us the tale of a young businessman who wakes up in a locked hotel room next to the body of his dead lover. He hires a prestigious lawyer to defend him, and over the course of one night, they work together to find out what happened.
