Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested in the alleged porn films scandal on July 19, 2021.
His police custody has ended today and the magistrate court has sent the businessman to 14 days of judicial custody, as per TOI report.

However, Kundra is challenging his arrest in Bombay High court, which will be hearing his bail application tomorrow – 28th July. Let’s see what the verdict is.
What Is Raj Kundra Booked For
For the unversed, Raj is booked under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) along with relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
HotShots App + ‘Erotica Not Porn’, Says Shilpa Shetty
Kundra’s ‘Viaan Industries’ and ‘HotShots’ and ‘BollyFame’ app is under scanner. Raj Kundra’s brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi is named wanted accused and his UK-based company ‘Kenrin’ is being probed too.
Raj has been alleging that content on ‘Hotshots’ cannot be called porn but merely ‘vulgar content’ as ‘no actual intercourse’ is involved. Shilpa also gave her statement – she denied being involved in the production of the alleged porn videos. And emphasized that the content wasn’t porn but erotica. She had resigned from the director’s position at Viaan Industries in 2020 itself.
121 Video Deal For 1.2 Million Dollars + Earned 6-8 Lakhs Daily
As per reports, Mumbai Police stated that Raj’s Whatsapp Chats revealed that he was planning an international deal for 121 videos for 1.2 million dollars! Police also said Kundra earned Rs 6-8 lakhs daily from the adult content business.
The crime branch also suspected profit from this alleged porn business was being used for online betting and hence, Kundra’s Union Bank of Africa and Yes Bank accounts are being scrutinized. His State Bank Of India accounts in Kanpur have been seized.
Enforcement Directorate To Step In?
Other findings include – a hidden cupboard and 8 servers from Kundra’s office from which pornographic data was allegedly deleted. As per latest reports, a financial auditor has been appointed to investigate revenue from BollyFame and HotShots app.
It is being said that the auditor’s report will be shared with the Enforcement Directorate who might step in to probe the money laundering angle of this case.
