National Award-winning veteran actress Surekha Sikri passed away today at the age of 75, after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Having suffered from a paralytic stroke in 2018 and a brain stroke in 2020, her health had worsened after she had a 2nd brain stroke, as per Indian Express report.
The actress had married Hemant Rege and is survived by their son Rahul Sikri. Surekha Sikri was best known for her role as Kalyani Devi in the TV soap ‘Balika Vadhu’. She has also done shows like ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’, ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ and movies like ‘Badhaai Ho’, ‘Tamas’ and more.
She was last seen in the Netflix’s anthology ‘Ghost Stories’ in Zoya Akhtar’s directorial. May her soul rest in peace!
