One of India’s most loved web series, Asur, is all set to come back with its sequel.
Asur is a multi-star cast series, with Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti in the lead roles. As per Peepingmoon.com second season of Asur is set to go on floors on July 10.
A source revealed to Peepingmoon.com, “Asur had ended on a cliffhanger. The second season will take off from where it left and this time it’s promised to be more thrilling and exciting. The creator Gaurav Shukla has gone all out on his research and has written a script that’s full of suspense and mystery.“
While the cast from Asur is intact with their roles to entertain their fans with a more thrilling experience, it is also reported that new cast members will be added.
“The second season will also have the same aspect of unpredictability and will take audiences on a ride never explored before. Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti who played the two forensic officers from the CBI will be back to continue their cat-and-mouse game with a brutal serial killer having religious ties. Anupriya Goenka and Ridhi Dogra‘s characters have also been retained,” the source added.
To give more insight, Asur is a crime-thriller set in the backdrop of Varanasi that focuses on a face-off between two worlds where on one we have the intricate forensic science and ancient Indian mythology on the other.
Developed by Tanveer Bookwala’s Bombay Fables Motion Picture in association with Viacom18 Studios, Asur Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2021.
