The veteran actor Arvind Rathod passed away yesterday due to health-related issues at the age of 83.
The actor took his last breath at his residence in Paldi, Ahmedabad.
Besides the Hindi film industry, he was a prominent name in Gujarati cinema. The veteran actor had tested positive for COVID-19 a few months back and was reportedly bed-ridden due to age-related health complications.
While the news of his passing away surfaced online only today, celebrities of Gujarati cinema are mourning over the demise of the veteran and are sharing their heartfelt condolences on social media handles.
Reportedly, Rathod was unmarried, and after leaving acting in Mumbai, he had shifted to Ahmedabad with his nephew.
The 83-year-old rose to fame for his villainy roles and was best known for his portrayal in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Agneepath’. The actor also appeared in Hindi films like- ‘The Lady Killer’, ‘Kora Kagaz’, ‘Khuda Gawah’, among others.
