It seems to be raining remakes in Bollywood lately.
Apna Khiladi Kumar – Akshay too is allegedly gearing up for the Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Tamil psychological crime thriller ‘Ratsasan’.
This Hindi remake will reportedly be helmed by Akshay’s Bell Bottom director Ranjit Tewari and produced by Vashu Bhagnani.
It was also rumoured that Rakul Preet Singh would be joining the Superstar as the female lead for the Ratsasan remake. Now, as per the latest Bollywood Hungama report, the tentative title of the film has been revealed as ‘Mission Cinderella’.
“It’s titled Mission Cinderella and Akshay plays the role of a cop in the film. The makers are planning to shoot it in London with some locations around in the United Kingdom. It’s an action thriller, with Akshay on the run to track down a child abduction racket, which has been called Cinderella. The producers are tentatively referring to the film as Project Cinderella, and have registered titles like Cinderella and Mission Cinderella with the association,” a source told the portal.
From ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Rakshabandhan’, ‘Ram Setu’ to ‘Oh My God 2’ … Akshay Kumar’s year is packed as ever. His ‘Bell Bottom’ movie will see a theatrical release on 27 July, 2021.
