‘The Family Man’ series bagged 4th place on IMDb’s list of most popular shows in the world recently.
The show’s creator duo – Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have another exciting Amazon Prime series to offer.
As per Midday report, this new show will feature Pankaj Tripathi and Kunal Kemmu in the lead. Pankaj has worked with Raj & DK for ‘Stree’ while Kunal had previously starred in ‘Go Goa Gone’.
Tentatively titled ‘Ashwalinga’, the series will be a comedy set in the times of Kama Sutra. Rahi Anil Barve (of Tumbbad fame) will be helming the project.
A source told Midday – “Ashwalinga has been envisioned as a big-budget period project. True to Rahi’s style, the story has its roots in mythology and Indian folklore. He has finished writing it with Tumbbad co-writer Mitesh Shah and will take it on floors soon. At the moment, elaborate sets, designed as per the architectural style of the era, are being built in the suburbs.”
The report further stated that the show might go on floors in the first week of July. Apart from this, Raj and DK are also gearing up for Shahid Kapoor’s OTT debut series, which will also go on Amazon Prime Video.
