Be it ‘Rockstar’ or ‘Tamasha’ Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali truly do make for a superhit combo.
As buzz has it, the duo is all set to collaborate for the 3rd time.
Speculation then went rife that their latest movie collaboration would revolve around the life of the controversial singer Amar Singh Chamkila, who would often be referred to as the ‘Elvis of Punjab’.
However, it seems like the director and actor WON’T work together for Amar Singh Chamkila biopic, since Ranbir has already played a musician in Rockstar before.
A source told Bollywood Hungama – “While the biopic of Amar Singh Chamkila was one of the films Imtiaz was working on, he had two other scripts too that he was writing simultaneously. One is a social film that sends out a message on suicide, the details of the other film have been carefully kept under wraps. Ranbir’s film is not the biopic because it will bring him to a similar Rockstar like space with him playing a musician, although the stories are poles apart. Ranbir’s film is one of the other two projects that Imtiaz has been readying.”
Let’s wait for an official announcement of this upcoming project. Meanwhile, Ranbir has ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Shamshera’, ‘Luv Ranjan’s next’, along with ‘Animal‘, lined up ahead of him.
