Salman Khan, as we all know, will star in the Hindi remake of Thalapathy Vijay & Vijay Sethupathi‘s Tamil hit film ‘Master’.
Previously, the actor has featured in several remakes like ‘Radhe’, ‘Ready’, ‘Kick’, ‘Dabangg’ & more.
While fans can’t wait to see Bhaijaan stepping into Vijay’s shoes for the role of JD, the latest news is that Salman has reportedly asked the makers to rewrite the script of ‘Master’ remake. Reportedly, the actor has made it clear that the script has to be a fresh one, with plenty of additional conflicts in the screenplay.
If this Bollywood Hungama report is to be believed, apparently, the ‘Jai Ho’ actor isn’t keen on doing an exact remake movie anymore. The report also suggests- Salman has asked the writers to come up with a new story retaining the same main character.
“Salman doesn’t want to do outright South remakes anymore. He is clear on this point. For ‘Master’, he has loved the character of JD and believes that it has solid potential to strike a chord with the audiences all across. He hasn’t played the role of a drunkard master till date and hence, is very excited to take it up. However, it’s on condition that the makers come up with a new story, by just retaining the character’s personality,” a source close to the development informed the portal.
It is said that the writing process is going on in full swing right now, and the producers will narrate the reworked version once it’s locked.
