Naagin 3 and Bepanah Pyaar actor Pearl Puri had created controversy after being accused of allegedly raping a minor girl.
Celebs like Ekta Kapoor and Divya Khosla Kumar have been vocal in their support of Pearl though.
He was arrested by Waliv Police on June 4 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. His bail application was declined twice.
However, today on June 15, Pearl has been granted bail by the Vasai court, as per India Today report. He had remained in judicial custody for 11 days.
Previously, the minor girl’s father had issued a statement about the case. He’d said that his wife’s accusations of a bad marriage and toxic relationship should not divert attention from the matter that his daughter was molested. He reiterated that his daughter had identified Pearl (from his Bepanah Pyaar character Raghbir), spoken the truth and it was confirmed by the medical report.
He further said that girl’s mother was informed about the matter, and she had shouted at Pearl. He also stated that the mother was present for the daughter’s medical evaluation at Nair Hospital!
