While Aamir Khan’s blockbuster romantic film ‘Raja Hindustani’ portrayed him as a small-town cab driver Raja, Sunny Deol was seen as a wrestler in the action thriller ‘Ghatak’. The Aamir Khan starrer emerged as a blockbuster with a box office collection of Rs 76.34 crores approx, while Sunny’s movie reportedly collected Rs 44 crores.

On June 22, 1990, Aamir Khan & Sunny Deol clashed for the first time. This day Aamir Khan starrer romantic drama ‘Dil’, where he was seen as college guy Ajay Prasad who is interested in spending his father’s money on wild parties, hit the screens, and on the same date, Sunny Deol arrived with his hit action flick ‘Ghayal’, wherein he played an amateur boxer, Ajay Mehra. Both the movies did well in the box office with the estimated collections of Rs 20 crores & Rs 17 crores respectively.
