Pearl V Puri was recently arrested after allegations of raping a minor girl in 2019 came to light.
From Ekta Kapoor to Divya Khosla Kumar, many celebs have come forward to speak in support of the Naagin 3 actor.
Divya took to Instagram to support Pearl, and also revealed the victim’s parents – Anil Donde and Ekta Sharma. She alleged that Pearl was being used as a scapegoat in a child custody battle!
Divya revealed that Ekta Sharma used to work on Pearl V Puri’s show, Bepanah Pyaarr. Divya claimed that the father is misusing his daughter to blame his wife, who had taken her on the show’s sets. She also commented that it was disturbing to see the Me Too movement, being wrongfully used.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Divya revealed Pearl was about to sign a BIG film.
“Who will be accountable for his aborted career if and when he is proven not guilty? It’s a very serious charge, and it will have far-reaching repercussions on Pearl’s career. He was just starting out in life. Television had given him stardom. And I can tell you, he was on the verge of signing a very big film. Now everything is lost.”
Meanwhile, the victim’s mother Ekta Sharma finally opened up about the case, addressing why she has chosen to remain silent.
She wrote – “Publicising a victims name in public is an offence. I choose to remain silent as I am not the complainant in the case. Whatever is true shall come out. The matter is subjudiced and hence I am not speaking to anyone as the custody case is pending in the Highcourt and it’s my earnest request to all that please don’t make a mockery of the legal system as I have given my statement to the concerned authorities.”
