Yesterday ‘Naagin 3’ actor Pearl V Puri’s rape & molestation allegations literally shocked everyone.
As per media reports, Pearl has supposedly been taken to 14-day judicial custody under the court’s order.
Soon after his arrest, Pearl’s friends from the Television industry have come out in support of him. Producer Ekta Kapoor too has defended the actor and posted a lengthy Instagram post.
In the post, she revealed that the minor’s mother herself admitted that Pearl is innocent and is apparently being framed by her husband.
Now, Vasai DCP Sanjay Kumar Patil has reacted to Ekta’s ‘false rape allegations, saying that the accusations against Pearl are NOT false. During a press conference, the DCP stated, “No, the accusations are not false. His name has come up in the investigation. There is evidence against him. That is why the police have arrested him. The truth will be decided in the trial.”
“The father of the victim had lodged a complaint in Versova police station claiming that their daughter has fallen prey to sexual assault. Since the jurisdiction was from Naigaon as the shooting was happening there. So the case became a zero FIR and got transferred. The actor was then booked under Section 376 A, B, and POCSO Act. We have conducted the medical examination and have also recorded the statement of the accused under CRPC 164,” he added.

Reportedly, the alleged incident took place on a film set in Vasai, where Pearl was shooting in October 2019.
