Besides being a brilliant actress, the former beauty queen Juhi Chawla is also known as an active environmentalist.
Recently, the actress had filed a lawsuit against the implementation of the 5G network claiming that the radiation would possibly harm other living creatures.
According to her, the RF radiation might harm the current and future generations.
However, as ETimes reported, the Delhi High Court has apparently dismissed Juhi’s lawsuit on Friday by calling it a ‘publicity stunt’ and also imposed a fine for Rs 20 LAKHS for “abusing the process of law”.
The court’s order says, “The suit is dismissed. Plaintiffs abused the process of law. Cost of ₹ 20 lakh is imposed on plaintiffs.”
“It appears that the suit was filed for publicity. Plaintiff Juhi Chawla circulated the link of the hearing on social media which created the disruption thrice. The Delhi Police shall identify the persons and take action against those who created the disruptions,” the order added.
Meanwhile, during the virtual case hearing against the 5G lawsuit on (June 2), a man interrupted the judges by singing songs like Juhi Chawla’s 90s classic songs like ‘ghoonghat ki aad me’, ‘lal lal hothon pe gori kiska naam hai’ and ‘meri banno ki aaegi baraat’.
