It wouldn’t be wrong if we say Radhika Madan is now a well-known name in Bollywood.
The actress has definitely come a long way and given prolific performances in films like Angrezi Medium, Pataakha, and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.
While Radhika was last seen in filmmaker Homi Adajania’s Angrezi Medium, featuring late Irrfan Khan, the latest buzz is that the actress is apparently all set to reunite with her director for a funny & brave show.
According to a Peeping Moon report, Radhika has supposedly bagged one of the lead roles in Homi Adajania’s upcoming web series Saas, Bhau Aur Cocaine. The series, which revolves around women working in the drug business, will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
As per the report, the Pataakha actress will reportedly be seen as a younger member of a family who apparently runs an embroidery business in Kutch, but it is actually a front for their cocaine business, which is the biggest in entire South Asia. Even the men in the family, who are working abroad, don’t know what they are doing as they would only visit during Holi and Diwali.
“Radhika Madan was meant to be a part of this series. Homi Adajania wanted to explore her more as an actor after ‘Angrezi Medium’ and has specifically written a character keeping her in mind, so when he approached her for Saas Bahu Aur Cocaine she happily agreed immediately. It’s a challenging role that demands a different set of mentality and Radhika is full-on ready for that,” a source revealed to the portal.
Produced by Maddock Films’ Dinesh Vijan under his new digital content company Outsider Films, the show will also feature a bunch of talented as the lead, whose names are yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Radhika will next be seen in Netflix’s anthology Ray and Kunal Deshmukh’s movie Shiddat.
