Bollywood celebs have been stepping in to help India battle the 2nd wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
Virushka had made a 2 crore donation, Big B also contributed 2 crores to Covid Care Centre. Here are recent reports of other B-Town celebs and their Covid-relief support –
1) Rohit Shetty
Director Rohit Shetty is in on the action, not just onscreen but offscreen as well. As per Indian Express report, he recently made a significant contribution to Covid-19 relief work in India by donating 250 hospital beds to Guru Tegh Bahadur COVID Care Centre in Delhi!
2) Anil Kapoor
Bollywood Hungama reported that veteran actor Anil Kapoor along with Mankind Pharma has contributed 1 CRORE to the CM Relief Fund of Maharashtra.
Moreover, they have also equipped the frontline warriors – Mumbai Police, with Health OK multivitamin packets to boost their immunity!
3) Farhan Akhtar
The Toofan actor has been helping COVID-19 affected families in Uttar Pradesh with his FOOD DONATION programmes as reported by DNA. In association with ‘Hope For Welfare Trust’ NGO, Farhan’s team has been distributing 1000 thalis every day in the city.
4) Huma Qureshi
Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi has joined hands with Save the Children to set up a 100-bed hospital facility in Delhi, which will also have its own oxygen plant.
They’re also striving to provide Covid care kits and teleconsultation to patients at home.
5) Mika Singh
As per Yahoo News, singer Mika Singh too helped out during these trying times by starting a FREE ‘langar sewa’ in Mumbai. It will be feeding 1000 people daily!
6) Find A Bed Initiative
Bollywood celebs like Karan Johar, Kartik Aaryan, Rohit Saraf and Boman Irani have joined the ‘Find A Bed’ initiative. The information repository will help people find a bed or quarantine centre for patients that don’t require hospitalization.
