Kangana Ranaut had made headlines recently after her Twitter account was permanently suspended.
The Queen actress’s account was removed for repeatedly violating the platform’s Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy.
In a controversial tweet, she had urged PM Narendra Modi to ‘tame’ West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee using his ‘virat roop’ from ‘early 2000s’. Netizens believed she was referring to the 2002 Gujarat riots.
As per India Today report, Kolkata Police has registered an FIR under sections 153A, 504,505 IPC and 43 and 66 IT Act. The complaint, filed by Trinamool Congress spokesperson Riju Datta accuses Kangana of allegedly spreading ‘hate propaganda’ and inciting communal violence in West Bengal.
Riju has also said that Kangana has distorted and maligned the image of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and urged the police to take strict and necessary action!
