Sunny Leone was previously named as PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) India’s Person of the Year in 2016.
The Jism 2 actress has also been actively involved in PETA’s various campaigns on vegan fashion, vegetarian eating, dog and cat adoption and sterilisation.
Sunny has once again teamed up with PETA India – this time to help out migrant workers in crisis. With the pandemic raging on, the 2nd wave of the deadly virus has left migrant workers facing a lack of income and food along with crippling uncertainty.
As per Bollywood Hungama report, Sunny and PETA India will be feeding 10,000 migrant workers in Delhi through the Uday Foundation! These will be vegan meals – consisting of daal, rice, khichdi and fruit.
Leone commented about the initiative saying – “I’m delighted to join hands with PETA India again – this time, to get protein-packed vegan meals to thousands in need. We are facing a crisis, but together, with compassion and solidarity, we will come out ahead.”
Recently, even Jacqueline Fernandez was spotted feeding the needy through her YOLO Foundation which had tied up with Roti Bank for serving the meals.
