It was earlier reported that Salman Khan’s movie Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali might undergo a title change.
This Farhad Samji directorial casts Houseful 4 actress Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
As the Bollywood Bhaijaan gearing up for his upcoming big release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Salman’s another big-budget movie Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali has been creating a lot of buzzes lately.
According to a media report, the makers of the Salman Khan & Pooja Hegde starrer decided to change the movie title in order to avoid controversies during its release. Now, as per the latest Bollywood Hungama report, Sajid Nadiadwala has reportedly registered the name ‘Bhaijaan’ for the upcoming action-comedy.
“Sajid Nadiadwala feels that it’s only Salman Khan who can carry the title Bhaijaan and hence, has registered it as one of the probable names for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. He feels the title will also do justice to the subject of the film, and has been discussing the idea of changing the title to Bhaijaan with Salman for a while now,” a source revealed the portal.
However, Salman feels they should go ahead with its earlier title only. “Sajid is considering a title change to avoid hurting any religious sentiments. However, Salman is of the opinion that the film is made with the right intentions and has the heart at the right place,” the source added.
“It fits well into his ideology of being human, and feels, if both Eid and Diwali can coexist in the Indian society, the same can be a part of the title too. His idea is to celebrate unity in diversity in a comic way with Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and doesn’t want to shift the focus on an individual, that is, his lead character,” it concluded.
Apart from Salman & Pooja, the movie also stars Aayush Sharma & Zaheer Iqbal in pivotal roles.
