2004’s one of the most blockbuster hits Main Hoon Na clocked 17 years of its release today.
Bollywood choreographer-turner-director Farah Khan made her directorial debut with this masala flick.
The movie, which holds a special place in our hearts for its songs, bromance, romance, drama, actions, story, starred Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Amrita Arora, Zayed Khan, and Suniel Shetty in pivotal roles.
Today, on this special occasion we are here with an interesting trivia about Main Hoon Na. Did you guys know not Zayed, but another actor was the first choice for the role of SRK’s brother in this flick?
As Bollywood Life reported, Hrithik Roshan was first considered to play Lucky’s character after his then-last film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Yes, you heard this right!
The actor not only signed on the dotted lines but also got his signing amount. But what happened then? According to the report, the War actor had to walk out of the film due to his unavailability of dates.
If reports are to be believed, even before his debut movie Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai was released, Hrithik was in huge demand and had already signed a couple of movies. With Main Hoon Na’s shoot getting delayed and multiple projects in Hrithik’s kitty and work commitments, he was left with no options but to back out of this multi-starrer.
The production house was reportedly quick enough to find Hrithik’s replacement, and this is how Zayed Khan got the role of SRK’s younger brother Lucky aka Laxman Prasad Sharma.
