1. S. S. Rajamouli
This is the man behind the super blockbuster of Indian cinema Bahubali & Bahubali: The Conclusion. While the movie grossed over Rs. 2000 crores at the box office, the director S. S. Rajamouli reportedly took home a massive profit share of Rs. 100 crores, which apparently makes him the highest-paid Indian director.
2. Rohit Shetty
It won’t be wrong if we say Rohit Shetty is the hit machine of Bollywood. Without a single flop in his career, Rohit reportedly charges Rs. 28-30 crores per movie. It’s also said that he is Bollywood’s highest-paid filmmaker.
3. Karan Johar
Karan Johar’s movies are all about glam, larger-than-life sets, A-listed actors. He is the mastermind behind the success of Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan. If reports are to be believed, KJo supposedly takes away a mammoth of Rs. 14-15 crores per movie.
4. Rajkumar Hirani
Quality over quantity- seems like this is the ultimate mantra for Rajkumar Hirani. While his movies like Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, pk, Sanju were blockbusters at the box office, the director supposedly takes away Rs. 14-15 crores per for each movie.
5. A.R. Murugadoss
A.R. Murugadoss is known for movies like Ghajini, Akira, and Holiday. He is also a renowned director in the Tamil & Telugu film industry. According to reports, Murugadoss reportedly takes away Rs. 16 crores per movie.
6. Mani Ratnam
Filmmaker Mani Ratnam needs no introduction. While his cinematic skills are unmatchable, the director supposedly takes away Rs. 9 crores for directing a movie.
