Vidya Balan was last seen essaying the titular role in the biopgraphical drama film ‘Shakuntala Devi: Human Computer’.
She will next be seen in ‘Sherni’ – a movie that explores human-wildlife conflict. The cast also includes Vijay Raaz, Sharat Saxena and Ila Arun in key roles.
Directed by Amit Masurkar (of Newton fame) Sherni will feature Vidya Balan in the role of a forest officer. The project is reportedly inspired by real-life incidents and carries a touch of humorous undertones.
As per Peeping Moon report, the film has finished its shooting after an extensive schedule in Madhya Pradesh jungles.
With Roohi, Mumbai Saga, Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar already in theatres…. Bollywood is making its comeback to cinemas slowly and steadily amid the pandemic.
However, looks like Sherni makers would rather not take the risk and have decided to stick to the safer, OTT route. Sherni will reportedly premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video much like Balan’s last film Shakuntala Devi.
The release date is awaited though.
