WHO Is Playing Sita In ‘Sita – The Incarnation’?

Quite a lot of ‘Ramayana’ adaptations are in the making of late – be it Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ or Madhu Mantena’s ‘Ramayana 3D’.

While Kriti Sanon will be playing Sita in Adipurush, Deepika Padukone is said to be Sita for Madhu Mantena’s version. But wait there’s more –

Another film on Ramayana was announced recently – this time from Sita’s perspective. Director Alaukik Desai will be making ‘Sita – The Incarnation’, which is being penned by Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad!

The movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. With such a meaty, titular role, a lot of actress were in the race but looks like makers have their eye on Kareena Kapoor Khan for Sita! Alia Bhatt is reportedly also being considered.

A source told Bollywood Hungama – “Alaukik and Vijayendra Prasad both feel Kareena will be apt for the role. Their Ramayana is from Sita’s perspective, which also makes it very different from the other two projects that are in the pipeline. Alia Bhatt is also being considered but it’s Kareena who the makers have first spoken to.”

The source further added that the modalities are being worked out, and in case, it doesn’t work out with Kareena, then Alia will be their second pick for the period saga.
