You ever have the weirdest thoughts pop in your head while rewatching your favourite films? Or catch that tiny lil detail that you missed on the first go?
Here are some random, funny observations we’ve made while going on a binge-watching spree of these 5 Hollywood movies on the Lionsgate Play app:
1) Twilight
The popular vampire saga ‘Twilight’! Look, having the Team Edward vs Team Jacob fight in school was practically a puberty ritual and you’re lying if you didn’t do it.
While we were recently rewatching Twilight for some good ol’ nostalgia… some super important questions wouldn’t stop bothering us – like one whiff of her blood has him making this face, so WTF does Edward Cullen do when Bella has her period?
Also, why didn’t the Cullens find a cure for cancer instead of attending high school again and again?
2) John Wick
Ahh, dog-lover ultra pro – Keanu Reeves from ‘John Wick’. Don’t mess with the man’s dog … varna kutte ki maut maroge!
While watching John Wick this time, the only thing we could fixate on was the guy’s beautiful hair.
How does our John Wick manage to have those perfect locks while being a violent, raging badass? Which shampoo do you use, my dude? Aakhir itne silky zulfo ka kya raaz hai?
3) Hunger Games
The iconic love triangle in ‘Hunger Games’ is still widely debated – are you Team Peeta or Team Gale? We are Team Katniss.
While bingeing the movie on the Lionsgate Play app, we couldn’t stop snickering over both the couple’s ship names. ‘Everlark’ may be the official couple name for Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark but ‘Peniss’ sounds way funnier. Agree?
And don’t get us started on Katniss Everdeen and Gale Hawthorne’s couple name – ‘Kale’ or ‘Everthorne’. KALE? KALE? Kale is something you put in a salad! And now we are hungry.
4) La La Land
Bored on a Sunday? Grab some popcorn, put on ‘La La Land’ and we’re sure your feet are gonna automatically start tapping away. Ryan Gosling-Emma Stone make for an unfairly gorgeous couple, don’t they?
And if we’re talking about La La Land…. The 1st thought to immediately pop up is the goof-up at Oscars when ‘La La Land’ was accidentally announced as ‘Best Picture’ instead of ‘Moonlight’ due to the envelope mix-up.
Quite a memorable Oscar moment, ain’t it?
5) Knives Out
Daniel Craig starrer ‘Knives Out’ is perfect if you are in the mood for some ‘Who-dun-it’.
Ana de Armas’s character ‘Marta Cabrera’ has a weird problem in the movie- she cannot lie without vomiting!
And that got us thinking about a hypothetical scenario – what’s more embarrassing, letting your nose grow like Pinocchio or having to barf like Marta every time you lie?
