Apart from issues like racism and her experience with the film industry, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has also shared some funny anecdotes about her life in ‘Unfinished’.
The memoir recalls an incident as Chopra was growing up when her dad Ashok Chopra essentially turned their house into a JAIL.
The reason is of course age-old – he was being a protective father. As per the Insider report, Priyanka narrated that when she had left for America, she had been a mere, gawky, 13-year old kid.
But when she returned back to India at the age of 16, she had attained a more ‘womanly’ figure, which started garnering attention from the boys. The White Tiger actress shared that guys would follow her on bike whenever she travelled by a rickshaw to her tutor’s home.
Things escalated when a guy TRESPASSED on the family’s property – jumping from another terrace to their balcony! Her terrified father then had wrought iron bars installed on the windows of their house to keep such miscreants away!
She had previously recalled the incident while talking to Vogue – “The house looked like a fortress,” her mom Madhu said to which Priyanka replied – “A jail!”.
