1. Virat Kohli
Virushka became proud parents of a baby girl on Jan 11. The couple named their baby girl ‘Vamika’. Virat Kohli, captain of the Indian cricket team, took an almost 1-month paternity break towards the end of December to be around pregnant Anushka and welcome their first child together.
2. Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan, who is all set to welcome his 2nd child with Kareena Kapoor Khan, will be taking paternity leave to spend some time with the newborn. Saif had taken almost a month of leave when Taimur was born. He was shooting for ‘Chef’, post which, he took a break.
Saif also took a break when Sara and Ibrahim were born.
3. Shahid Kapoor
A proud father of two munchkins, Misha & Zain, Shahid Kapoor reportedly took a six-month off during Misha’s birth and a month-long for his & Mira’s second-born Zain.
4. Karan Johar
Filmmaker Karan Johar took a two-month paternity break when he became the father of the twins, Yash & Roohi, via surrogacy in 2017.
5. Riteish Deshmukh
Riteish Deshmukh & Genelia D’Souza are the parents of two boys- Riaan and Rahil. It is said that the actor took two-weeks off from his shot when Genelia was pregnant with their first child Riaan in 2014.

The ‘Go Goa Gone’ actor was busy promoting ‘Golmaal Again’ when Soha gave birth to their firstborn Inaaya in 2017. The dotting father, then, briefly took a paternity break to spend time with Soha and their daughter.

Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Raj Kundra had welcomed their first child Viaan in 2012. Raj took almost a month off from his work to be around his wife Shilpa and their son.

Vivek Oberoi had reportedly taken a month-long paternity break when he & his wife Priyanka were expecting their first child in 2013. It is said that Vivek took his wife on a babymoon to Europe and Bali while she was pregnant.

Imran Khan and his wife Avantika became parents of a baby girl named Imara in June 2014. The actor took almost a seven-month leave when Avantika was expecting. The couple went on a babymoon in the UK and Europe. The long holiday started from Christmas, 2013, and lasted till March 2014.
