1. Ranbir Kapoor- Jodha Akbar
In an interview with Rajeev Masand, while promoting ‘Bombay Velvet’, Ranbir Kapoor confessed that he opted out of ‘Jodha Akbar’ due to some unknown reasons. He was supposed to play the role of Mughal emperor.
2. Sushant Singh Rajput- Half Girlfriend
Did you know the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was the first choice for the male lead for ‘Half Girlfriend’? After signing the film, Sushant had to walk out as the dates were clashing with ‘Raabta’, which he signed earlier.
3. Kareena Kapoor Khan- Kaho Naa Pyaar Hain
Not ‘Refugee’, but ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hain’ was supposed to be Bebo’s debut movie. Even after shooting for few scenes, Kareena Kapoor Khan eventually walked out of the movie. Later, Ameesha Patel was roped in for the female lead.

According to Koimoi, Alia Bhatt was supposed to star opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in ‘Raabta’. But, she had to opt-out as she already gave her dates to Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’, which later got stalled.

Yes, Aishwarya had to walk out of SRK starrer ‘Chalte Chalte’ midway. It is said that Salman Khan reportedly came on sets and created a scene with his then-girlfriend Aishwarya, which led to Aishwarya’s exit.
6. Sonu Sood- Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi
Sonu Sood apparently walked out of ‘Manikarnika’ due to re-shoots and scheduling issues. The actor stated that things didn’t go well with the director and Kangana, and they wanted to reshoot the film.
7. Chitrangada Singh- Babumoshai Bandookbaaz
It was reported that Chitrangada left the film ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ midway citing discomfort shooting intimate scenes with co-star Nawazuddin.
