One of the most highly anticipated celebrity weddings of 2021 is about to kickstart – the Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal marriage!
The actor and his fashion designer girlfriend have been childhood sweethearts and they’re finally tying the knot on January 24.
Earlier, there was some confusion as fans were wondering whether this whole thing was just a rumour or real, but rest assured, the wedding is most definitely happening this weekend. Though he had initially denied the rumours, Varun’s uncle Anil Dhawan himself confirmed the development recently!
“My nephew Varun is getting married on 24 January. I am looking forward to it,” Anil commented to Spotboye.
Strangely enough, Anil had previously told TOI – “WOW, I am surprised. They are marrying this month, and we didn’t know? Are they going to invite us last moment? Itna secret rakh rahe hai kya?”
Looks like the families are keeping up an elaborate ruse to hoodwink the media! Anyway, now that we know the wedding, is in fact, actually happening… let’s move onto to the more juicy bits of what, where, when!
ALIBAUG WEDDING
As per recent reports, the wedding festivities will be happening from January 22-26, with Alibaug locked down as the wedding destination.
WEDDING VENUE?
The latest report by Pinkvilla also informed that the wedding ceremony will take place at The Mansion House, which is a lavish 25 room resort. It is also at a walking distance from the Sasawane beach in Alibaug. The Palm Court, The Cove Room and The Sky Deck Room have reportedly been booked for the guests and the families.
Varun-Natasha’s ‘Sangeet’ will reportedly begin on 22 Jan and the ‘mehendi’ festivities will follow the next day. On 24th Jan, Varun and Natasha will tie the knot. They will then be having a cocktail reception night on Jan 25. The festivities will conclude with a reception bash in Mumbai on Jan 26.
The chunni ceremony will reportedly happen at Natasha’s house tomorrow. It is a Punjabi function where the family goes to the bride’s place with clothes, jewels, sweets and dry fruits. The bride is then handed over the wedding outfit and bridal chunni and blessed by the elders.
It was being said that Natasha would be designing her own bridal attire, while designer Kunal Rawal would dress the groom Varun Dhawan.
