Anil Kapoor has given Bollywood some of the industry’s best roles and a handful infamous releases.
However, the legendary actor had recently admitted to doing some of his films only for the sake of the paycheck.
In a recent TOI interview, Anil Kapoor was asked if he had ever signed a film for the capital and to that Kapoor had a definite ‘YES’. He said, “I did. In fact, I can even name them–Andaz and Heer Ranjha. After Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, the family was in a crisis and each one of us did what we had to do for survival, out of a sense of responsibility. I have no qualms about admitting that.”
Earlier, speaking to HT about his career in Bollywood, he said, “If you want to make it in this business, you have to be ready to give it your all, to not let setbacks keep you down and to persist in the face of all odds. You need guts and grit to survive and level-headedness to thrive.“
Kapoor added, “I don’t think I ever saw the film industry as anything other than home – the place I was always meant to be. I was born into it, I belong to it and I will take my last breath in it.“
Anil Kapoor’s next is Jug Jug Jeeyo where he stars alongside Neetu Singh, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani.
