According to Bollywood Hungama, the ‘Chennai Express’ director is planning to take his ‘cop universe’ ahead.

Jackie’s character will reportedly continue from ‘Sooryavanshi’ to the next film in the franchise, which will be ‘Singham 3’.

Reports have been doing rounds that Jackie Shroff will play a large role in Rohit’s cop universe, similar to how Thanos was in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“The climax of Sooryavanshi will lead to Singham 3 with Ajay Devgn taking over the charge from Veer Sooryavanshi. The entire film is about Akshay’s character racing against time to stop terror attacks in Mumbai, and they successfully stop the same in the climax of the film by capturing the negative leads, only to discover that it’s not game over yet and the actual mastermind of the attack is still hiding safely at his whereabouts,” a source revealed to Bollywood Hungama.

The source further stated, “And the actual mastermind is none other than Jackie Shroff, who will continue to be a part of the universe as the negative lead of Singham 3.”

Jackie will be seen playing a negative role in the Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer movie ‘Sooryavanshi’, along with Gulshan Grover and Abhimanyu Singh.

The basic draft of ‘Singham 3’ is supposedly ready but Rohit, however, is currently busy with ‘Cirkus’. The filmmaker, then, will start shooting for ‘Golmaal 5’ toward the end of 2021.

However, Rohit also doesn’t want much of a gap between the release of ‘Sooryavanshi’ & ‘Singham 3’ since it’s a story that works in continuity.
