The Bollywood industry has always been used to older male actors romancing actresses either half their age or more at times. However, here’s a little twist to that.
Here are five times we’ve had older female leads in pretty popular movies.
1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had sizzling on-screen chemistry in the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil despite their nine years age gap.
2. Konkona Sen – Ranbir Kapoor
Konkona and Ranbir are both phenomenal actors and were seen together in the movie Wake Up Sid. Although the two have a three year age difference between them but trust anyone who says that wasn’t visible in the movie at all.
3. Kareena Kapoor Khan – Arjun Kapoor
The movie Ki and Ka didn’t only challenge the stereotypical roles assigned to males and females but gave us an unseen jodi in Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor. Even though Arjun is five years Kareena’s junior, the duo made us fall in love with their on-screen romance, nok-jok and arguments.
4. Rekha – Akshay Kumar
In Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Akshay Kumar romanced the stunning Rekha who is thirteen years his senior. Despite the age difference, the two made their scenes as sizzling as possible and we love it!
5. Dimple Kapadia – Akshaye Khanna
Dimple Kapadia is almost 18 years Akshaye Khanna’s senior and this age difference was beautifully woven into their relationship in Dil Chahta Hai.
