Remake movies have clearly become a trend in Bollywood nowadays.
There has been buzz that Ajay Devgn is also going to make a South-Indian ‘remake’ movie.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Ajay has reportedly bought the rights of Telugu crime comedy ‘Brochevarevarura’ and will be taking it to the pan-India audience. This movie will be directed by Deven Munjal, who has previously worked on films like ‘Chalte Chalte’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’.
Reportedly, Karan Deol, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ last year, is in advanced talks for this crime comedy, tentatively titled ‘Velley’. Well, there is also a buzz that the team is in talks with Abhay Deol for a significant role.
The movie is about three friends – Rocky, Rambo, and Rahul– who keep failing every year before they land in the middle of chaos resulting in a thrilling ride. If everything goes as planned, then the movie will go on floors next year.
A source revealed, “Velley is the official adaptation of Telugu crime comedy, Brochevarevarura. Ajay loved the concept and instantly bought the rights for it, so he could take it to a pan-India audience. The script is currently being written.”
“Abhay is known for high concept films and Brocheverevarura is one of the most unique ideas in recent times. Karan is excited to team up with his uncle for the first time. If they come on board, there will be multiple script reading sessions and workshops before the film goes on the floors,“ the source added.
On the work front, Karan has already signed ‘Apne 2’, in which he will be sharing the screen with his father Sunny Deol, uncle Bobby Deol and grandfather Dharmendra for the first time.
