Bollywood director Karan Johar has been making headlines for quite some time.
Now, the director-producer is in the news for his alleged fall out with the renowned celebrity manager Reshma Shetty.
According to Bollywood Hungama, KJo and Reshma, who have been close buddies and shared a strong relationship, have reportedly parted ways. Yes, you heard it right!
While the reason is not confirmed yet, the sources revealed, “It’s difficult to say what went wrong. But it seems that the fallout has been ugly. Karan has decided to ensure that his protégés end the contract with Reshma’s company Matrix and shift to another talent management company, Cornerstone.”
On Monday, Karan Johar announced his collaboration with talent management company Cornerstone, which is owned by Sohail Khan’s brother-in-law Bunty Sajdeh.
Cornerstone recently came into the limelight after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death as it managed the late actor and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.
For those who don’t know, Matrix, at present, handles some of the most prominent celebs and also KJo’s close buddies like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Shashank Khaitan, and Manish Malhotra.
In his memoir ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, Karan penned about Reshma. He has written how deeply he feels connected to her. Karan wrote in his memoir, “I take her advice on professional decisions very seriously. I’m very dependent on her take on work and people. I’ve built a bond with her over the years and it’s very solid.”
