After ‘It’s My Life’, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Naam’ Finally To Get A Release After 16 Years!

There have been several films that were shot and wrapped up but never saw the light of the day.

Now, after being stuck for 16 years, Ajay Devgn’s much-jinxed project ‘Naam’ will get a release.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anees Bazmee revealed that he is all set to revive his directorial thriller movie ‘Naam’. Shot in 2004, this movie stars Ajay Devgn, Bhumika Chawla, and Sameera Reddy in pivotal roles.

Bazmee isn’t sure whether it will be an OTT release or will get a TV-like ‘It’s My Life’. He has also revealed that this movie has one of the best performances of Ajay.

While talking about the project Bazmee said, “The producer has said Naam is releasing soon. I don’t have any more details on this.”

Meanwhile, last year Bazmee shared a picture of Ajay from the shoot of ‘Naam’ in Switzerland. Posting it he wrote, “This was taken in Switzerland, whereas taking pictures for an unreleased movie ‘Naam’ with @ajaydevgn, #BhumikaChawla & @reddysameera”.

He further added, “It was a suspense thriller jo aapko bohot pasand aati. Yahin ummeed karta hoon ki ek din yeh film launch ho aur aap sabko dekhne mile. #ThrowbackThursday.”

Himesh Reshammiya had composed the music and Shirish Kunder Edited the movie.

Harman Baweja-Genelia D’Souza starrer ‘It’s My Life’

Recently, Bazmee’s other movie ‘It’s My Life’, starring Genelia D’Souza and Harman Baweja, had a satellite premiere after being pushed for a decade.

It was said that ‘Naam’ was eying for a release in theatres in 2013 but things didn’t work out.

Initially titled ‘Benaam’, Priyanka Chopra was signed for this movie but was replaced by Sameera Reddy at the last minute.
