Ajay Devgn is a busy star and the next year seems to be jam-packed for him.
Here is a list of all the movies we know of so far wherein Devgn will either be directing or acting.
1. Bhuj
Directed, co-produced and written by Abhishek Dudhaiya, Bhuj is Ajay Devgn’s most recent up-coming film which also stars Nora Fatehi. The film is about the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 where IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, the then in-charge of the Bhuj airport who, with his team, reconstructed the IAF airbase with the help of 300 women from the local village Madhapar.
2. Mayday
Ajay’s directorial Mayday will reunite him with Big B on the silver screen and the shoot reportedly ends the next year in January.
“From December 11, Ajay jumps on to his directorial, Mayday, which reunites him with Amitabh Bachchan after almost eight years, with his De De Pyaar De co-star, Rakul Preet Singh, as his co-pilot. They will be shooting nonstop till January-end. Rakul will join the shoot from mid-December and the entire team will be stationed together in Hyderabad in a bio-bubble,” reveals a Pinkvilla report.
3. Maidaan
Like we mentioned before, Devgn’s got a pretty tight schedule as he is to resume his shooting for Maidaan as soon as Mayday’s shoot terminates. The makers are keen on recreating an entire football stadium in the city.
“While a lot of the film has already been shot, some football scenes are pending and should be shot in Mumbai where a football stadium will be recreated. The film involves several global players as part of international football teams and an exact schedule will be chalked out once there is clarity on overseas travel protocol,” says a source.
4. Golmaal 5
Ajay Devgn made the making of Golmaal 5 official with an Instagram post last year in November. He captioned the post, “A film franchise which is not only the longest running one in hindi cinema but also happens to be one of my favourites! Prepare yourself for yet another laugh riot with Golmaal 5.”
Although there is no news on when the film will go on floors or when it will be released, all fans can rejoice because the making of the film has been confirmed. A rough date (4th November 2021) has been settled for as to when the film might be released.
5. Kaithi Remake
Khaithi, one of the biggest hits in the Tamil film industry, will have Ajay Devgn playing the lead in the Hindi version, tentatively titled Ikka. Katrina Kaif is expected to play the female lead as per The News Minute. The remake is said to be directed by Jagan Shakthi.
6. RRR
RRR is a multi-lingual film in which Ajay will be debuting in the south Indian film industry. RRR is a high budget film that is being directed by SS Rajamouli. It is a multi-starrer that has the two biggies in the Telugu film industry – Ram Charan and Jr NTR – playing the lead roles. Alia Bhatt plays the female lead in this period flick.
