On November 9, the Narcotics Control Bureau had raided Arjun Rampal’s Mumbai house, and seized two ‘banned tablets‘.
The actor had claimed that he had a doctor’s prescription for the medicines, which reportedly fell under NDPS Act.
The NCB had also seized electronic gadgets like laptops, mobile phones, and tablets from Rampal’s residence during the raid.
Both Arjun and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades were then summoned by NCB for further investigation. Gabriella has already been questioned once by the anti-drugs agency and has been summoned again today. Meanwhile, Arjun will be interrogated by the NCB on Friday, November 13.
Sameer Wankhede of NCB told TOI, “Gabriella has been called again as the investigation is still not complete. We have now told Arjun Rampal to appear before NCB on Friday.”
Previously, Gabriella’s brother, Agisilaos Demetriades had been arrested by the NCB after drugs were recovered from his apartment during a raid.
The Bollywood Drugs Probe has intensified and even leading film producer Firoz Nadiadwala (Welcome, Phir Hera Pheri fame) had come under scanner, as his wife Shabana Saeed was arrested after 10 gm of ganja was recovered from their house. Saeed then filed for bail stating that the case of the NCB is of personal consumption.
A magistrate’s court on Tuesday granted bail to Shabana Saeed. Firoz Nadiadwala was also grilled thoroughly and still has not gotten a clean chit from the investigating agency.
Updating about the same, Sameer Wankhede stated to TOI, “Nobody has been given a clean chit and if we find anything it will be part of the charge sheet.’
