‘Sanson Ki Mala’ is a soulful track released in the year 1979 and was written by the 16th century poet, Meera Bai.
The track was first played by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and is now covered by Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as a tribute to his late uncle.
The video for the track was shot in Pakistan. The video also has glimpses of Ustad Rahat ji performing as a child next to Ustad Nusrat ji. Apart from the tribute, salutations are given by Ustad Rahat ji to Ustad Nusrat ji out of immense respect.
