Andhadhun was a hit at the box office in 2018, starring Tabu, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Radhika Apte.
According to a report by Times of India the makers of this Tamil remake have approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to essay Tabu’s role.
Sriram Raghavan’s film was a success all over the box office and the story revolved around a cold-blooded wife who kills her own husband with her lover.
A source says “Raja was held up with a few things, and so, Thiagarajan approached Fredrick to direct the film. In fact, Fredrick was approached right after his Ponmagal Vandhaal released. The team is planning to begin shooting from December, in Pondicherry.
“The team has approached her to essay Tabu’s role. They will be making the final announcements soon,” the source added.
This movie is being remade in several South Indian languages and the shooting will tentatively begin from December, in Pondicherry.
The South Indian version of this film is helmed by Mohan Raja.
