Recently, singer Neha Kakkar and Rohanpreet Singh made their relationship official, amid reports of them tying the knot soon.
Now, singer-actor & TV show host, Aditya Narayan too has revealed his plans of getting hitched by the end of the year!
It’s official! As per TOI, the singer will be marrying his long-time girlfriend and Shaapit co-star Shweta Agarwal by November or December.
He revealed, “I met Shweta on the sets of ‘Shaapit’ and we hit it off instantly. Slowly and gradually, I realised I was head-over-heels in love and started pursuing her. Initially, she wanted to be ‘just friends’, because we were both very young and needed to focus on our careers. Like every relationship, we have seen a lot of ups-and-downs over the last 10 years. Marriage is just a formality between us now, which hopefully should also happen by November or December. My parents know Shweta and like her a lot. I am happy that I have found my soulmate in her.”
While addressing the rumours of their public spat, Aditya also stated that after a decade, it was the right time to tie the knot.
“I remember a few years ago, how people had assumed that Shweta and I had a big spat on the street and had broken up. After that, it was so difficult for me to even go out with her. I accept that there can be issues in a relationship, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road. Marriages break easily these days, so we were both taking our time to know each other. Now, after a decade, I feel it is the right time to take the plunge.”
He also opened up about Indian Idol judge Neha Kakkar and the rumours of their link-up. Aditya said it started as a joke and his parents played along because he wanted his and Shweta’s relationship to be kept away from public eyes. Aditya also congratulated Neha and Rohanpreet Singh for their upcoming wedding.
“It all started with a joke that was in the script of the show. And people assumed so many things after that. There was no truth to those rumours. Neha is a dear friend and I am happy for her. I have known Rohan since he was the second runner-up of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil’ Champs way back in 2008 that I hosted. I am thrilled that two of my good friends are getting married.”
Congratulations are in order for the happy love-birds. We’re thrilled to keep hearing the wedding bells ring in 2020! Who’s next, we wonder.
