Deepika Padukone, who was in Goa, arrived in Mumbai yesterday with husband Ranveer Singh.
Earlier, NCB had summoned her on September 25 in the drug case. On Thursday, the actor acknowledged the summon sent to her by the central agency.
She will now join the probe on Saturday, September 26 instead.
It was also reported by India TV, that reportedly Ranveer Singh has formally asked the NCB whether he can be present during his wife’s questioning.
In his application to the NCB, Ranveer Singh has reportedly written how Deepika Padukone sometimes suffers from anxiety and gets panic attacks, and hence he should be granted permission to be with her.
Ranveer Singh also stated that he is a ‘law-abiding citizen’ and knows that he cannot be present at the time of Padukone’s questioning but has sought permission to be allowed inside the NCB office. However, no decision has been taken by the NCB on his application yet.
Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor too will be interrogated by NCB on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash and Rakul Preet Singh are to be interrogated today. Dharma Productions director and executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad will also join the probe today.
