On Saturday, Anurag Kashyap was accused by actress Payal Ghosh who claimed that the director apparently sexually assaulted her.
Ghosh had also claimed in an ABN Telugu interview that the director said Richa Chadha and Mahie Gill are a call away and would come running to “suck” his “c**k”.

Richa Chadha has initiated legal action against Payal Ghosh for dragging her name into the controversy in a defamatory manner via her lawyer Advocate Saveena Bedi Sachar.
The legal statement read, “Our Client ‘Ms. Richa Chadda’, condemns the act of her name being unnecessarily and falsely dragged in a defamatory manner into controversies and allegations being recently raised by third parties. Though our Client believes that genuinely wronged women should get justice at all costs, there are legislations that are intended to ensure that women have an equal standing in their workplace and to ensure that they have a cordial workplace in which their dignity and self-respect is protected. No woman should misuse their liberties to harass other women with unsubstantiated or non-existent, false and baseless allegations. Our Client has initiated appropriate legal action and shall further pursue her legal rights and remedies in law as may be advised in her best interest.“
While this is what Richa Chadha has done, Mahie Gill spoke to TOI exclusively and defended Anurag Kashyap while saying she wished to not be dragged into this sort of negativity.
“I really don’t want to get into this rut, there’s already so much negativity happening around us. It is very easy to take names just because he launched us. All I want to say is that I have known Anurag for a long time now. We may not be in touch, but I am sure Anurag can never ever speak like this about any of his actors. This is my statement, and I don’t want to speak any further on this,” Gill says.
