Yesterday, BMC demolished the alleged ‘illegal constructions’ in Kangana Ranaut’s Office! The demolition took the social media by storm!
Now, Fashion designer Manish Malhotra, whose home is next to Kangana’s office in Mumbai’s Pali Hills has also come under BMC scanner for ‘unauthorised construction‘.
As per TOI report, the BMC has issued a show-cause notice to designer Manish Malhotra for illegally turning his residential space into a commercial property.
Issued on September 7, the notice under Section 351 of the “Unauthorised construction of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act,” points out – “unauthorised change of use from residential to commercial building, unauthorised erection of partitions/cabins on the first floor, unauthorised construction of two structures with brick masonry wall and a cement sheet roof on the second floor terrace, and unauthorised construction of a shed with steel angles and a cement sheet roof on the same terrace”.
BMC has given Manish Malhotra 7 days to respond to the notice, to “show sufficient cause” as to “why the said-building or work should not be pulled down.”
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, a spokesperson for Malhotra claimed that there was no irregularity and that the office “has been in the same condition” for the past 15 years.
“If there are any concerns raised by the BMC, we will cooperate with them and address those,” he said.
