If you think Bollywood stars got life all rosy and sweet, you think wrong! Aamir Khan’s brother Faissal Khan has alleged his family of keeping him under house arrest!
But wait, it gets worse… he also says that he was apparently forced into having medications for a year.
Apparently Faissal’s family had also asked him to give up on his signatory right which he refused. Post that, Khan moved out and moved court. He was examined at JJ Hospital after moving out in order to safeguard his signatory rights. Aamir Khan battled for his brother’s custody in 2007 but lost to their father.
Faissal also clarified that he was fit and fine despite the resurfacing of 2007 news reports that claimed he was depressed and schizophrenic along with not being mentally fit. He also mentioned that had he been mentally unstable, he would not have managed to do a film all on his own.
Faissal also disclosed how he was reportedly insulted by director Karan Johar at a Bollywood news party because of his flopped movies. He stated, “If your work flops, they don’t treat you well; they don’t even look at you and it has happened with me. On my brother’s 50th birthday, I was looked down upon by someone, I don’t wish to take the name. But, Karan Johar acted weird with me; he put me down. He insulted me when I was trying to talk to someone and trying to disconnect with the person I was talking to. So, a lot of such things have happened and even I have been through it.”
Khan, however, also added, “At the end of the day, you’ll get a break in the industry due to nepotism and favouritism. If your father is a big director then he can make a few calls and people to cast you, but you will have to prove your worth in the end. There’s no theory or formula for success. There are going to be new people coming in both from the insiders and outsiders. In fact, I think that the rate of insiders flopping is higher than that of the outsiders because you get the chance but you’re not successful.“
